What we keep, why, and who else touches it.
What we keep
- Your email address. It is your account, and it is where studies are sent.
- The address or parcel number you ask about, the build type you pick, and any project note you write. These are what the study researches.
- Your studies: each report, its status, and for a Fullscope the county records it saved.
- Questions you ask in a study’s chat, and the answers.
- A password, only if you set one, stored scrambled (hashed) and never as the password itself.
- Sign-in sessions, held in one cookie, and recent failed sign-in attempts with the network address they came from, to slow down password guessing.
- Payments: the amount and Stripe’s reference for it. We never see your card.
- If you ask to hear when your state opens: your email, the address and the state. Nothing goes on that list unless you press the button.
Who else handles it
- Stripe takes the payment. It receives your email, the tier and the price, not your property address or note.
- Resend sends our emails, so it handles your email address and what the email says, which names the property.
- The U.S. Census Bureau’s public geocoder is sent the address you type, to find which state and county it is in.
- Esri’s geocoding service suggests addresses as you type one: your browser sends it what you have typed so far.
- County, city and state public records and mapping services are queried with the property address or parcel number: that is how a study reads the parcel, its zoning and the maps that govern it.
- An AI model provider runs the research. It receives the property address, build type, project note, and any questions you ask in chat.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site and carries your requests to us.
